One of Margate’s most-loved celebrations hits a big milestone this summer — and the whole town is invited.
Margate Pride returns for its 10th anniversary on the weekend of 8 August 2026, celebrating LGBTQIA+ people, allies and communities across the town.
What’s happening
- 1pm — The March. The parade sets off along the seafront, making its colourful way to Dreamland.
- From 2pm — The Scenic Stage. The annual Mx Margate pageant, rally speakers, DJs and live performances.
- All weekend. Parades, concerts and social events across the town.
A big weekend for Margate — and for business
Pride weekend is one of the busiest of the year for Margate. Cafés, shops, bars and independents across town feel the lift as visitors pour in. A town with a genuine cultural pull is a town with energy, footfall and a reason for talented people to stick around.
